KODE takes user privacy and trust seriously. We want you to understand our privacy practices and the rights and options you have as a user. This policy describes the personal data (“data”) we collect, how it’s used and shared, and your choices regarding this data.
II. What Information We Collect and Where We Collect It From
The information we collect depends on whether you visit the KODE website or application. We collect information when you provide information directly to us, when you permit third parties to provide information to us, and automatically, such as information collected from your browser or device. You can use some of the Platform without providing any information other than that automatically collected as described below.
a. Required App Registration Information
In order to become a Koder, you must sign up through the app. Information required for registration contains personally identifiable information (PII) including your name, address, email, Social Security Number, drivers license or state ID, and professional credential number.
b. Automatically Collected Data
Whether you browse the website or sign up for the app, we may passively collect information including data regarding your device, browser, IP address or other unique identifiers, and browsing behavior. If you visit our website from an external ad or receive email from us, we may use analytics or tracking tools to understand the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
c. Payment and Tax Information
When signing up for the app, we collect payment information in order to compensate you for your work. This information is stored by a trusted third party payment processor along with associated account information necessary to validate your identity.
III. How We Use the Information We Collect
We may use your information in a variety of ways, including:

· Processing payment transactions
· Verifying your identity, credentials, and eligibility to work
· Customizing your platform experience

IV. How and When Your Information is Disclosed to Third Parties
a. Platform Clients
Your public profile may be shared to clients who are interested in engaging in services provided by the platform. This public profile excludes SSN, bank information, and other information reasonably expected to remain private.
b. Service Providers
As necessary, we may provide your information to service providers including those that provide hosting, payment processing, or other business critical services. These providers are prevented from selling or otherwise using your data outside of the scope of providing services for KODE.
c. Administrative or Legal
We may access, use, preserve, transfer, and disclose your information to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, subpoenas, governmental requests or legal process if in our good faith opinion such is required or permitted by law. This includes meeting national security or law enforcement requirements, or to detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues. Such disclosures may be carried out without notice to you.
V. Options Regarding Your Data
a. Accessing and Correcting Information
You are responsible for the accuracy and modification of data you provide to us. The data you provide may be reviewed and updated via your platform profile at your discretion.
b. Legal Rights
Your local laws and state specific laws may permit you to exercise certain rights with respect to the information we collect from and about you. Please note your rights and choices vary depending upon your location. Certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law.
You may request to have your information permanently deleted at any time. Note that a request to delete certain information may result in your account being deactivated.
c. Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing communications using the included Unsubscribe link. Please note that you may still receive transactional messages necessary to complete workflows critical to platform membership.
VI. How Data is Protected
Your account is protected by both password and enforced OTP at each login. Please do not share your password or OTP code with anyone.
Physical, technical, and administrative safeguards are in place to protect your information that is stored within our databases. Employee access is limited to those who require it to perform their job functions. Data is hashed or masked whenever possible.
